Enforcer Key Caching for KWAAP has been introduced, a powerful enhancement designed to significantly improve the system's ability to mitigate large-scale Layer 7 DDoS attacks. Traditionally, KWAAP’s Activity Tracking feature required multiple steps along the data path to make a decision, resulting in limited throughput during high-demand scenarios. With Enforcer Key Caching, when traffic reaches a certain threshold, local caching at the Enforcer level enables faster yes/no decisions, eliminating the need for further communication with backend components. This improvement greatly reduces decision latency, significantly increasing KWAAP’s capacity to handle traffic surges and delivering more robust protection during critical events.
